Customizing your Website

Many people are not aware of the ways a BIG Folio site can be customized. Sure you can change the colors, images, change text, add music, add your logo, and more through your control panel. But there are plenty of other ways to enhance your sites appearance and functionality.

The screenshots below are from a client's Front Street template. In image 1, you'll notice we created a custom layout for displaying testimonials and images. The presentation is beautiful.

In image 2 we added additional gallery navigation. Normally, this template displays thumbnails and slideshow controls when viewing a gallery. For this client, we added the image numbers and forward/back arrows, creating a unique method of navigation.

In image 3 you'll see a nice addition. Our templates allow you to change the background color to anything you like. For this client we added some fancy design flourishes. It really enhances the presentation and matches existing marketing material she already had.

Finally, in image 4 we linked to the client's external proofing system. Instead of just linking to the proofing site we allowed for the visitor to input their username and password, directing them to their particular event.

So, when considering a BIG Folio template, don't feel like you are going to be limited. For a customization fee we can pretty much do anything you want to do.

Take care.

"Your company has my undying support!! I have been a client of one of your competitors for the past 3 years and they have never treated me as well - or handled my issues as quickly - as you and your team have. I've already told every photographer I know about you guys and am confident that you will continue to grow because of the way you run your business and handle your customer service."

Let the REVOLUTION begin

Every now and again the team here at BIG Folio recommends something we think would be beneficial to the photography community. Might I suggest the new workshop started by some good friends.

::Revolution Workshop::

Fly on the Wall

One of the ways we manage to be so efficient is by using an internal chatroom. With staff in 3+ locations, it makes it easy to pose and answer quick questions.

Of course, not everything is web/photo related. Occasionally, we'll try and post some threads for fun.
